- salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- whole wheat breadcrumbs - 60 grams
- olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- whole grain burger buns - 2
- lettuce leaves - 2
- tomato - 1 medium, sliced
Steps
- In a bowl, combine cooked lentils, chopped cilantro, minced chipotle, minced garlic, chopped onion, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Mash the mixture with a fork until combined but still slightly chunky.
- Stir in the whole wheat breadcrumbs until the mixture holds together. If too wet, add more breadcrumbs.
- Form the mixture into two burger patties.
