Ingredients
- Ground venison - 400 grams
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Bolillo rolls - 2
- Avocado - 1, sliced
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Lime - 1, juiced
- Salsa - 1/2 cup
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground venison, garlic powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.
- Form the mixture into 2 equal patties, about 2.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, slice the bolillo rolls in half and toast them lightly on a separate pan or under a broiler.
- Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each toasted bolillo.
- Top each patty with sliced avocado, tomato, red onion, and a generous spoonful of salsa.
- Sprinkle chopped cilantro over the top and squeeze fresh lime juice before placing the top half of the bolillo on the burger.
- Serve immediately with your choice of side.
