Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80/20) - 400 grams
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Hamburger buns - 2 units
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 pieces
  • Queso fresco - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Salsa roja - 4 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until spices are evenly distributed.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a grill pan or frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the toppings: slice avocado, tomato, and red onion, and wash the lettuce leaves.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, place each on a hamburger bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, crumbled queso fresco, and salsa roja.
  6. Serve immediately with your choice of side, such as sweet potato fries or a salad.
