Ingredients

  • Pork cracklings - 150 grams
  • Ground beef (grass-fed) - 200 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Avocado - 1 medium
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4 medium, thinly sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges

Steps

  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into two patties.
  4. Cook the patties in the preheated skillet for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  5. While the patties are cooking, prepare the avocado by slicing it in half, removing the pit, and scooping out the flesh. Mash it in a bowl and season with salt and lime juice.
  6. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on a plate, add a beef patty, and top with mashed avocado, tomato slices, red onion, and cilantro.
  8. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
