- Pork cracklings - 150 grams
- Ground beef (grass-fed) - 200 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Avocado - 1 medium
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Red onion - 1/4 medium, thinly sliced
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lime - 1, cut into wedges
Steps
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into two patties.
- Cook the patties in the preheated skillet for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the avocado by slicing it in half, removing the pit, and scooping out the flesh. Mash it in a bowl and season with salt and lime juice.
- Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on a plate, add a beef patty, and top with mashed avocado, tomato slices, red onion, and cilantro.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side.
