- Corn masa flour - 200 grams
- Water - 150 ml
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black beans (cooked and mashed) - 100 grams
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Pico de gallo (tomato, onion, cilantro, lime) - 100 grams
- Radishes - 4, thinly sliced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cilantro - a handful, chopped
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the corn masa flour, salt, and water. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into oval discs, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the masa discs for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are slightly browned and cooked through.
- While the guaraches are cooking, prepare the toppings: mash the black beans with a bit of lime juice and season with salt.
- Once the guaraches are cooked, spread a layer of mashed black beans on top of each one.
- Top with sliced avocado, pico de gallo, and radishes.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with chopped cilantro before serving.
