  • 1 small red onion - finely chopped (about 50g)
  • 1 medium tomato - diced
  • 1 lime - juiced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro - chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt - to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper - to taste
  • Tortilla chips - for serving

Steps

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash the avocado with a fork until smooth but still slightly chunky.
  3. Add the lime juice, finely chopped red onion, diced tomato, chopped cilantro, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper to the mashed avocado.
  4. Gently fold in the cooked black beans until evenly mixed.
