Ingredients

  • Almond extract - 1 teaspoon

  • Salt - a pinch
  • Sliced almonds - 20 grams

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the egg white until slightly frothy.
  4. Add honey and almond extract to the egg white, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 5 cm apart.
  7. Press a few sliced almonds onto the top of each cookie for decoration.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
