  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable broth - 200 milliliters
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons (chopped)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the cumin and smoked paprika, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the cooked black beans and vegetable broth to the saucepan. Stir to combine.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Allow it to cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Once heated through, remove from heat and stir in lime juice, cilantro, salt, and black pepper to taste.
