Ingredients

  • Seitan - 200 grams
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Green bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Yellow onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Flour tortillas - 4 small
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, lime juice, ground cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Slice the seitan into thin strips and add it to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and slightly charred.
  4. Add the marinated seitan to the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and slightly crispy.
  5. Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave. Serve the seitan and vegetable mixture in the tortillas, garnished with fresh cilantro.
