Ingredients

  • Chicken breast, boneless - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Green bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Whole wheat tortillas - 2 pieces
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sour cream - 2 tablespoons (optional)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Cut the chicken breast into thin strips and add them to the marinade, tossing to coat evenly. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  3. While the chicken is marinating, slice the red and green bell peppers and onion.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken strips and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.
  5. Add the sliced bell peppers and onion to the skillet, stirring frequently, and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  6. Warm the whole wheat tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave for a few seconds until pliable.
  7. Serve the chicken and vegetable mixture on the warm tortillas, garnished with fresh cilantro and a dollop of sour cream if desired.
