Ingredients
- Ground beef (80/20) - 250 grams
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Bell pepper (any color) - 1 medium, sliced
- Onion - 1 medium, sliced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Cheddar cheese - 30 grams, shredded
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large leaves
- Sour cream - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Form the seasoned beef into two patties of equal size.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, heat olive oil in another skillet over medium heat and add the sliced bell pepper and onion.
- Sauté the peppers and onions for about 5-7 minutes until they're softened and slightly caramelized.
- Once the burgers are cooked, place them on a plate and top each with sautéed peppers, onions, and shredded cheddar cheese. Allow cheese to melt slightly.
- To assemble, place each burger on a large lettuce leaf, add slices of avocado, a dollop of sour cream, and garnish with fresh cilantro.
