  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Bell pepper (any color) - 1 medium, sliced
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cheddar cheese - 30 grams, shredded
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large leaves
  • Sour cream - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Form the seasoned beef into two patties of equal size.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, heat olive oil in another skillet over medium heat and add the sliced bell pepper and onion.
  5. Sauté the peppers and onions for about 5-7 minutes until they're softened and slightly caramelized.
  6. Once the burgers are cooked, place them on a plate and top each with sautéed peppers, onions, and shredded cheddar cheese. Allow cheese to melt slightly.
  7. To assemble, place each burger on a large lettuce leaf, add slices of avocado, a dollop of sour cream, and garnish with fresh cilantro.
  8. Wrap the lettuce around the burger and enjoy your Fajita Burger!
