- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Cotija cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Corn (fresh or frozen) - 100 grams
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Lime - 1, juiced
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined and form into 2 equal patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, in the same skillet, add the corn and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until heated through and slightly charred.
- In a small bowl, mix the sautéed corn with lime juice and chopped cilantro.
- Once the burgers are cooked, place them on a plate and top each with the corn mixture and crumbled cotija cheese.
- Serve the burgers on large lettuce leaves, topped with avocado slices.
