Ingredients

  • Unsalted butter - 30 grams
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Chopped nuts (optional) - 30 grams

Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, unsalted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon powder, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring continuously to prevent sticking, until the mixture begins to thicken and turn a caramel color, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Once the desired color is achieved, remove from heat and stir in chopped nuts if using.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased small dish or mold and spread evenly.
  5. Allow to cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour until set.
