  • Baking powder - 5 grams
  • Vanilla extract - 5 milliliters
  • Salt - 1 gram
  • Cocoa powder - 20 grams
  • Dark chocolate (chopped) - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting) - 10 grams

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, until a smooth dough forms.
  6. Divide the dough into two equal parts and flatten each into a small oval shape on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Place a piece of chopped dark chocolate in the center of each oval and fold the dough over to enclose the chocolate, sealing the edges well.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the pastries are firm and slightly golden.
