Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef (80% lean)
  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 medium avocado, sliced
  • 100g shredded lettuce
  • 4 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 slices of cheese (optional)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, minced chipotle peppers, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 2 patties.
  2. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  3. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the lime crema by mixing the sour cream, lime juice, and chopped cilantro in a small bowl. Set aside.
  4. Once the burgers are cooked, if using, place a slice of cheese on each patty and let it melt for the last minute of cooking.
  5. To assemble, place a cooked patty on a plate, top with shredded lettuce and sliced avocado, and drizzle with the lime crema.
