Ingredients
- 500g ground beef (80% lean)
- 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 medium avocado, sliced
- 100g shredded lettuce
- 4 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 slices of cheese (optional)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, minced chipotle peppers, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 2 patties.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the lime crema by mixing the sour cream, lime juice, and chopped cilantro in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Once the burgers are cooked, if using, place a slice of cheese on each patty and let it melt for the last minute of cooking.
- To assemble, place a cooked patty on a plate, top with shredded lettuce and sliced avocado, and drizzle with the lime crema.
