Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 tablespoon chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves - for wrapping

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced chipotle peppers, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the cilantro-lime crema by mixing the sour cream, lime juice, and chopped cilantro in a small bowl. Add salt to taste.
  5. Once the burgers are cooked, take them off the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. To serve, place each patty on a lettuce leaf, top with sliced avocado, and drizzle with the cilantro-lime crema.
