  • Onion - 1 medium, diced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red bell pepper - 1, diced
  • Chili powder - 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cheddar cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the diced onion, cooking until translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and diced red bell pepper, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until softened.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  6. Add the canned diced tomatoes and kidney beans to the skillet, stirring to combine. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
