Ingredients

  • Serrano peppers - 4 pieces
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Lime - 1, juiced
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Avocado - 1 medium, diced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Red onion - 1/4 cup, finely chopped

Steps

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the serrano peppers and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are blistered and charred.
  3. Remove the peppers from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. In a bowl, combine the charred peppers, lime juice, salt, cilantro, diced avocado, diced tomato, and red onion.
  6. Toss gently to combine all ingredients and serve immediately.
