Ingredients

  • Sábalo fillets - 200 grams, diced
  • Fresh lime juice - 60 ml (about 4 limes)
  • Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Cilantro - 15 grams, chopped
  • Tomato - 100 grams, diced
  • Cucumber - 50 grams, diced
  • Jalapeño - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Avocado - 1 small, diced
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced Sábalo fillets with lime juice, ensuring the fish is fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes until the fish is opaque.
  2. Once the fish is marinated, drain excess lime juice and add the chopped red onion, cilantro, tomato, cucumber, jalapeño, avocado, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Gently toss all the ingredients together until well combined.
  4. Serve immediately in chilled bowls or on a platter, garnished with extra cilantro if desired.
