- Lemon juice - 50 ml
- Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Tomato - 1 medium, diced
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Jalapeño - 1, finely chopped (optional)
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Avocado - 1, sliced (for serving)
- Tortilla chips - 50 grams (for serving)
Steps
- Start by placing the peeled and deveined shrimp in a bowl and cover them with lime juice and lemon juice. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes until they turn opaque.
- While the shrimp is marinating, prepare the vegetables. Finely chop the red onion, dice the tomato, and chop the cilantro and jalapeño (if using).
- After the shrimp has marinated, drain off excess citrus juice and add the chopped vegetables to the bowl. Toss everything together gently.
- Season the ceviche with salt and black pepper to taste, mixing well.
