Ingredients

  • Fresh tuna - 200 grams, diced
  • Lime juice - 60 ml (about 4 limes)
  • Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Cucumber - 50 grams, diced
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, quartered
  • Fresh cilantro - 15 grams, chopped
  • Jalapeño pepper - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced fresh tuna and lime juice, ensuring the tuna is well coated. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes to allow the acid from the lime to 'cook' the fish.
  2. Add the finely chopped red onion, diced cucumber, quartered cherry tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and finely chopped jalapeño to the bowl.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil over the mixture and gently toss everything together until evenly combined.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, adjusting as needed.
  5. Serve immediately in chilled bowls, garnished with additional cilantro if desired.
