Ingredients

  • Fresh clams - 200 grams
  • Lime juice - 60 ml
  • Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Tomato - 100 grams, diced
  • Cilantro - 15 grams, chopped
  • Jalapeño - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Avocado - 50 grams, diced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Rinse the fresh clams thoroughly under cold water to remove any sand or debris.
  2. In a bowl, combine the clams and lime juice, ensuring the clams are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes to allow the clams to marinate and 'cook' in the lime juice.
  3. After marinating, drain the clams and return them to the bowl. Add the chopped red onion, diced tomato, cilantro, jalapeño, and diced avocado.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the mixture and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Gently toss to combine all ingredients.
  5. Serve immediately in chilled bowls, garnished with additional cilantro if desired.
