- Banana - 1 medium, sliced
- Berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries) - 100 grams
- Chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts) - 30 grams
Steps
- Rinse the amaranth grains under cold water to remove any impurities.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed amaranth and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the grains are tender and the water has been absorbed.
- Remove from heat and stir in the almond milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Let it sit covered for an additional 5 minutes.
