- Cumin - 1 teaspoon

- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Onion - 1 small, diced
- Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
- Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large
- Avocado - 1, sliced
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salsa (low carb) - 100 grams
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
- Rub the pork shoulder with olive oil, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Place the pork shoulder in a roasting pan and cover tightly with foil.
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 2 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- Once cooked, remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before shredding it with two forks.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced onion until translucent.
- Add the shredded pork to the skillet and mix with lime juice, heating through for about 5 minutes.
- To assemble the burgers, place a generous amount of the carnitas mixture onto a lettuce leaf, top with avocado slices, fresh cilantro, and a spoonful of salsa.
- Wrap the lettuce around the filling and serve immediately.
