Ingredients

  • Tofu - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Red onion - 1/4, finely chopped
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
  • Avocado - 1 small, diced
  • Corn tortillas - 4

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lime juice, soy sauce, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Add the tofu pieces to the marinade and let them soak for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated tofu, cooking for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy on all sides.
  5. Warm the corn tortillas in another skillet or microwave.
  6. Assemble the tacos by placing the crispy tofu in the tortillas and topping with chopped cilantro, red onion, halved cherry tomatoes, and diced avocado.
  7. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
