Ingredients
- Water - 500 ml
- Ground coffee - 40 g
- Cinnamon stick - 1
- Piloncillo (or brown sugar) - 50 g
- Clove - 2 whole
- Orange peel - from 1 orange
- Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- In a medium saucepan, bring 500 ml of water to a boil.
- Once boiling, add the ground coffee, cinnamon stick, cloves, and orange peel.
- Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the piloncillo (or brown sugar) and stir until dissolved.
- Remove from heat and let it steep for an additional 5 minutes.
- Strain the coffee mixture into cups and add a splash of vanilla extract to each.
