- Water - 400ml
- Almond milk - 200ml
- Cinnamon stick - 1
- Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- Agave syrup - 2 tbsp
- Pinch of sea salt - to taste
Steps
- In a medium saucepan, combine the water and cinnamon stick. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Add the cacao nibs to the saucepan and let them simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into another pot, discarding the nibs and cinnamon stick.
- Return the strained liquid to the saucepan and add almond milk, vanilla extract, agave syrup, and a pinch of sea salt.
- Heat the mixture over low heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally to combine the ingredients.
- Serve hot in two cups, garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon or cacao powder if desired.
