Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 400 grams
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/2 small, thinly sliced
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, black pepper, and chopped cilantro. Mix until well incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into 2 equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves, tomato slices, avocado, and red onion.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing a beef patty on each lettuce leaf. Top with sliced tomato, avocado, and red onion.
  6. Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the burgers before enjoying.
