Ingredients
- Ground pork - 400 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Avocado - 1, sliced
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Romaine lettuce leaves - 4, for wrapping
- Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Form the mixture into 2 equal-sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C (160°F).
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the toppings by slicing the avocado, tomato, and red onion.
- Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble, place each patty in a romaine lettuce leaf and top with avocado, tomato, red onion, and fresh cilantro.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your Burguesa de Puerco!
