Ingredients
- Zucchini - 250 grams (about 2 medium zucchinis)
- Egg - 1 large
- Almond flour - 50 grams (about 1/2 cup)
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Lime - 1, juiced
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- Grate the zucchini using a box grater and place it in a clean kitchen towel to squeeze out excess moisture.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the grated zucchini, egg, almond flour, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 2 burger patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the burgers are cooking, slice the avocado and squeeze lime juice over the slices to prevent browning.
- Once cooked, assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a plate, topping with avocado slices, and garnishing with chopped cilantro.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your Burguesa de Calabacita!
