- Whole wheat burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato slices - 1 medium
- Avocado slices - 1 small
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, mash the cooked chickpeas with a fork until slightly chunky.
- Add peanut butter, oats, chopped onion, minced garlic, cilantro, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and lime juice to the mashed chickpeas.
- Mix until well combined and form the mixture into two patties.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Toast the whole wheat burger buns lightly on the skillet for 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by the peanut patties, tomato slices, and avocado slices.
