Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80% lean) - 500 grams
  • Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce - 2 tablespoons, minced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Almond flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/2, sliced
  • Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large, for wrapping

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, minced chipotle peppers, garlic, cumin, oregano, salt, black pepper, egg, and almond flour. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two burger patties.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the toppings by slicing the avocado and red onion, and chopping the cilantro.
  5. Once the burgers are cooked, assemble them by placing each patty on a large lettuce leaf, topping with avocado slices, red onion, and fresh cilantro.
  6. Wrap the lettuce around the burger to create a low-carb burger wrap and serve immediately.
