Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 250 grams, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Wooden skewers - 4 pieces, soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sour cream - 2 tablespoons (for dipping sauce)
  • Hot sauce - 1 teaspoon (for dipping sauce)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  6. While the chicken is cooking, mix sour cream and hot sauce in a small bowl to create a dipping sauce.
  7. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with the dipping sauce.
