Ingredients

  • 200g firm white fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 whole wheat burger buns
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill or a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture over the fish fillets, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the fish and place it on the grill or skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily.
  5. While the fish is cooking, prepare the lime crema by mixing the Greek yogurt, lime juice, and smoked paprika in a small bowl.
  6. Toast the whole wheat burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly browned.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked fish fillet on the bottom half of each bun, followed by sliced avocado, shredded cabbage, and chopped cilantro.
  8. Drizzle the lime crema over the top and cover with the top half of the bun.
  9. Serve immediately with a side of fresh lime wedges.
