- Chicken or vegetable broth - 2 cups
- Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps
- Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak in water for 20 minutes.
- In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and bell pepper, sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and diced tomato to the saucepan, cooking for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper, mixing well.
- Drain the soaked rice and add it to the saucepan, stirring to coat the rice with the oil and spices.
- Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, remove the lid and gently fold in the crab meat, cilantro, and lime juice.
- Cover again and cook for an additional 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Remove from heat, let it sit covered for another 5 minutes, then fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
