Ingredients

  • Flank steak (arrachera) - 400 grams
  • Lime juice - 30 ml
  • Olive oil - 15 ml
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Corn tortillas - 4 pieces
  • Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Cilantro - 20 grams, chopped
  • Radishes - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Salsa verde - 60 ml

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, cumin powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the flank steak to the marinade, ensuring it is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the flank steak from the marinade and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare doneness, or until desired doneness is reached.
  5. Once cooked, let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
  6. Warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing sliced steak on each tortilla and topping with red onion, cilantro, radishes, avocado, and a drizzle of salsa verde.
