Ingredients
- Portobello mushrooms - 4 large
- Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
- Zaatar spice mix - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, mix the olive oil, zaatar spice mix, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Clean the portobello mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems.
- Place the mushrooms in the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Once the grill is hot, place the marinated mushrooms gill-side down on the grill.
- Grill the mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes, then flip them over and grill for another 5-7 minutes until they are tender and have nice grill marks.
- Remove the mushrooms from the grill and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
