- Za'atar spice mix - 1 tablespoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon
- Milk - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture, and beat until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and za'atar spice mix.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the milk to achieve a smooth dough consistency.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 5 cm apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
