Ingredients
- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Zaatar spice mix - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Tahini - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, zaatar spice mix, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese on top of each patty to allow it to melt slightly.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the tahini sauce by mixing tahini and lemon juice in a small bowl. Add a little water to achieve your desired consistency.
- To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on a plate, add the cooked patty, top with sliced cucumber and tomato, and drizzle with tahini sauce.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your Zaatar Beef Burger!
