Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Zaatar spice mix - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tahini - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, zaatar spice mix, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese on top of each patty to allow it to melt slightly.
  5. While the patties are cooking, prepare the tahini sauce by mixing tahini and lemon juice in a small bowl. Add a little water to achieve your desired consistency.
  6. To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on a plate, add the cooked patty, top with sliced cucumber and tomato, and drizzle with tahini sauce.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your Zaatar Beef Burger!
