- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 100 ml (for frying)
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Tahini - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons (chopped)
Steps
- Clean the king oyster mushrooms and slice them into shrimp-like shapes, about 1 cm thick.
- In a bowl, mix the rice flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper to create the coating.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Dredge each mushroom slice in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.
- Fry the coated mushroom slices in the hot oil for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fried mushrooms from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- In a small bowl, mix tahini, lemon juice, and water to create a smooth dipping sauce, adjusting the water for desired consistency.
- Serve the Vegetarian Shrimp hot, garnished with chopped parsley, along with the tahini sauce on the side.
