Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Tahini - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh mint - 1 tablespoon, chopped

Steps

  1. Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture for about 15 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Cut the pressed tofu into fillet shapes and place them in the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium heat.
  5. Grill the marinated tofu fillets for 4-5 minutes on each side until grill marks appear and the tofu is heated through.
  6. While the tofu is grilling, mix tahini, water, chopped parsley, and chopped mint in a small bowl to create the tahini sauce.
  7. Serve the grilled tofu with the tahini sauce drizzled on top and garnish with extra herbs if desired.
