Ingredients
- Chicken breast - 300 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
- Yogurt - 100 grams (preferably plain and unsweetened)
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 mins prior)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
- Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Serve hot, ideally with a side of garlic sauce or tahini dip.
