Ingredients
- Ground beef - 400 grams
- Sumac - 2 teaspoons
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2 pieces
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, thinly sliced
- Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Tahini - 3 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 1-2 tablespoons (to thin tahini sauce)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, sumac, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the beef mixture into 2 equal portions and shape them into patties, about 2 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the tahini sauce by whisking together tahini, lemon juice, and enough water to achieve a pourable consistency.
- Toast the burger buns lightly in another skillet or in the oven until golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun, then layering with sliced tomato, cucumber, and red onion. Drizzle with tahini sauce before closing the burger.
- Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
