Ingredients
- Chicken breast - 250 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Whole grain burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Tahini - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- In a bowl, combine minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, black pepper, and olive oil to create a marinade.
- Cut the chicken breast into burger-sized patties and coat them well with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the chicken is marinating, prepare the tahini sauce by whisking together tahini, lemon juice, water, and chopped parsley in a small bowl until smooth.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the marinated chicken patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
- While the chicken is cooking, toast the whole grain burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce, the cooked chicken patty, tomato slices, cucumber slices, and a generous drizzle of tahini sauce on the bottom half of the bun. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your favorite side, such as a salad or sweet potato fries.
