Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80% lean) - 400 grams
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Tahini - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 1 tablespoon
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/2 small, thinly sliced

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, ground cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix well until the spices are evenly distributed throughout the meat.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 2 cm thick.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the spicy tahini sauce by mixing the tahini, lemon juice, and water in a small bowl. Stir until smooth and adjust the water for desired consistency.
  5. Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a toasted bun, then topping with spicy tahini sauce, cucumber slices, tomato slices, and red onion.
  7. Serve immediately with your choice of side.
