Ingredients
- Potatoes - 300 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Chickpea flour - 4 tablespoons
- Water - 2 tablespoons (or as needed)
- Oil - for frying
Steps
- Peel and grate the potatoes into a large mixing bowl.
- Add the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, and chopped parsley to the bowl with the grated potatoes.
- Sprinkle the cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper over the mixture.
- Add the chickpea flour and water, mixing everything together until well combined. The mixture should be firm enough to hold together; add a little more water if needed.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, scoop spoonfuls of the potato mixture into the skillet, flattening them slightly to form fritters.
- Fry the fritters for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fritters from the skillet and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Serve warm with tahini sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
