- garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- allspice - 1/2 teaspoon
- black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- salt - 1 teaspoon
- fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- burger buns - 2
- tomato - 1, sliced
- lettuce leaves - 2
- yogurt - 100 grams
- lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- salt - to taste
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped onion, cumin, coriander, allspice, black pepper, salt, and chopped parsley. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into 2 equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the lamb patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the lettuce leaves and tomato slices on the bottom half of each bun, then adding the cooked lamb patty, and finally drizzling with the yogurt sauce before topping with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your choice of side.
