Ingredients

  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, diced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized cubes and place them in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, mix the yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.
  6. Grill the chicken skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and slightly charred.
  7. Meanwhile, warm the pita bread on the grill for 1-2 minutes on each side.
  8. Serve the grilled chicken skewers on the warm pita bread, topped with diced tomatoes, cucumbers, and chopped parsley.
