- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pita bread or burger buns - 2 pieces
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Tahini or garlic sauce - for serving
Steps
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Cut the chicken breast into large chunks and add it to the marinade. Mix well, cover, and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and thread the chunks onto skewers.
- Grill the chicken skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and slightly charred.
- While the chicken is grilling, prepare the pita bread or burger buns by toasting them lightly on the grill.
- Assemble the burgers by placing grilled chicken on the bottom half of the pita or bun, adding slices of tomato, cucumber, red onion, and chopped parsley.
- Drizzle with tahini or garlic sauce, then top with the other half of the pita or bun. Serve immediately.
