Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Chicken breast - 200 grams, thinly sliced
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
  • Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Bell pepper - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, diced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the sliced chicken breast to the marinade, mix well, and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape, then transfer it to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  5. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a border for the crust.
  6. Spread the marinated chicken evenly over the sauce, followed by the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Add the sliced red onion and bell pepper on top of the cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  9. Once out of the oven, top the pizza with diced cucumber, chopped parsley, and a drizzle of lemon juice.
  10. Slice and serve hot, enjoying the vibrant flavors of Shawarma Pizza.
